Dr. Richard Kwabena Kyereboah

Dr. Richard Kwabena Kyereboah has multi-industry exposure in education, manufacturing and the financial services. His career in these sectors has been in management, safety, human resources, leadership and corporate governance. He worked as a junior assistant registrar at the University of Ghana in 1985. Richard later joined Volta Aluminum Company ltd (VALCO), Tema then a subsidiary of Kaiser Aluminum, USA from 1986 through 1993 as Management Development Manager developing management and staff of the Organization.

Richard moved on to Standard Chartered Bank and held the positions of Head, Regional Training Center for West Africa, Relationship Manager, Retail Banking and finally Recruitment or Resourcing and Development Manager for both Ghana and the rest of the English speaking West African countries.

Dr. Richard Kobina Kyereboah in August 2000 joined Ecobank Transnational Incorporated, Lome, Togo (the parent company of Ecobank affiliates in Africa, London, Dubai and Paris) as Group Head, Human Resources superintending then over 14 countries in West and Central Africa. Richard performed this role for six years and later made to set up Learning and Development function for Ecobank Group of over thirty-two countries or affiliates for the first time in the Group.

He has worked in Eastern and Southern Africa regions to implement Institutional Review and Human Resources and Management policies for the Ecobank expansion, mainly to embed Ecobank Culture for growth of the business. Richard led the HR committee for the planning, monitoring and implementation of the Ecobank/TTB integration and made a record achievement of integrating the two organizations without any labour disputes and unrest.

Dr. Kyereboah has conducted Institutional Review and Restructuring for LMI Holdings Limited and Cocoa Tuoton Company Limited, Ghana where he designed the Company’s Overall Strategy, Job Evaluation, Human Resources Strategies and a Learning and Development Strategy.

Dr. Kyereboah, before leaving the Ecobank Group was the Senior Group HR Specialist, Executive Leadership Development responsible for identification and development of managing directors and functional heads of the Ecobank Group.

Dr. Kyereboah was a member of the team that undertook the Executive Search for a Managing Director, Deputy Managing Director and Company Secretary for GCB Bank Limited in March 2016 and 2017 respectively.

Richard holds advanced certificate in marketing from Institute of Marketing, UK, a bachelor degree in industrial psychology and master’s in business administration (MBA) from the University of Ghana, Legon. Richard holds a Doctor of Management (DM) in Organisational Development and Leadership from the University of Phoenix, USA.
