Nana Asantewaa Boateng is a multi-disciplinary development practitioner with about 25 years work experience. She is an accomplished Micro-Enterprise and Micro Financial Services Consultant as well as a very good Trainer/Facilitator. She has considerable experience in banking, micro finance and socio-economic impact assessments and has worked with private and public sector organizations, agencies and donors on the local and international scene.
Her areas of specialization are: Rural and Micro-finance, Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) Business Development and Management, Socio-economic analysis, Association Building in the areas of Group Development and Management, Impact and Community Assessment and in Capacity Building/Training. Since 1996, Nana Asantewaa has been the Managing Partner of Enterprise Development Network Limited, a firm of Management, Development and Micro Financial Services Consultants.
Nana Asantewaa is currently the Vice-Chairperson of Ghana Micro Finance Institutions Network (GHAMFIN) a Network of Micro Finance Institutions in Ghana and a member of the Board of three other organizations in the country, including a Rural Bank.
Nana Asantewaa was an accredited Trainer under the Agricultural Credit Program under the MIDA Agricultural Credit Component. EDN was contracted to train Credit/Project/Loan Officers of Participating Financial Institutions (PFIs) in the program on Agricultural Credit Delivery, including Value Chain development and management.
Nana was also an accredited Consultant/Facilitator under the Rural and Agricultural Finance Programme (RAFiP) in Ghana. The overall goal of the Rural and Agricultural Finance Programme (RAFiP) was to improve the livelihoods of the rural population with a special focus on small holder farmers, micro entrepreneurs, women and vulnerable groups.
